Cory and Amy met at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas while Cory majored in general business and Amy earned her M.B.A. with an emphasis in accounting (her undergraduate degree is in Accounting).
Cory grew up in Corsicana and Lake Richland Chambers. He played football for Navarro County where he worked on his pilot's license. He attended Texas Tech and later transferred to Sam Houston State where he met Amy. After college, Cory worked with one of the nation's top loan officer team. He considers those years where he received his mortgage degree.
Amy was born in a small town south of Houston (Sweeny, Brazoria county). She played tennis at Sam Houston State while she earned her MBA with an emphasis in accounting. Ironically, after college she turned down offers to Enron and Arthur Andersen to move to Dallas. Her first job in Dallas was managing residential apartment portfolios. After watching Cory enjoy a career in the mortgage industry, she had to join him. She has managed some of the nation's largest builder accounts, and as a branch manager, Amy has built a solid reputation amongst her peers.
The Neal family has lived in Stonebridge since 2002 and have seen McKinney go from a "small town" at the end of a cornfield to one of the Nation's Top Place's to live.
